Our Inspiring Journey

The Lunch Bunch was born from a heartfelt vision to eradicate school lunch debt and ensure every student’s educational journey is unimpeded by hunger. Founded in 2024 by Debbie Wilson in memory of Gwen Lewis, our organization started with a mission to support De Soto families and honor a beloved educator and community leader.

In its initial days, The Lunch Bunch focused on alleviating the burden of school lunch debt for students in need in the De Soto Public School District #73. The passion to make a real difference and honor Gwen Lewis’s legacy drove the team’s dedication and early efforts.
